Immunity Capsule May 13, 2008

Pani Puri (Water Bread) is a staple snack for almost every college going kid. Road side stalls selling 3 rupee juicy pani puris and spicey chaat is a deam come true. A lot of people warn you about stingy carts, which could get you sick. I look at them as immunity capsules, making you a little stronger and resistant little at a time. Drinking water off a railway station cooler having a 2 rupee ice candy, all helps little bit at a time, unhealthy as they might be.

Many parents dont let they’re little ones touched by strangers or even ones they know well when they are really young, while in India one look at a little kid and even the guy on the street wants a scratch those rosy cheeks. People always tell me that a child could get an infection, I think it strengthens the child’s immune system, so many of those allergies are unneeded, only if the child had evolved resistance to them.

Oh, my heart just skipped a beat when your page opened on my computer!!! To see the gorgeous pani puri! MMMm. I really love chaats.

I know this is about building immunity but I cant get my mind off those lucious little bites of heaven. Very juicy heaven, lol.

Of course I do not know what they are lol they do not look yummy to me because they have tomatoes in them (I do not like tomatoes).

As for building immunity I am fine with some of what you mentioned. I let strangers touch my kids and I let me kids touch other kids. It is better at a younger age to get them use to it yes but there are certain circumstances that I will not let my kids touch something (dirty bathroom stalls, blood, bile, etc -for fear of disease).

Hmm, I do think alot of Indian food doesnt photograph well. Unless you know(and already like) how it tastes, then it wont be tempting. There are some variations but I would say the most common is potato and chickpea(without tomato) like the one in this link http://www.foodhoe.com/?p=277

I mostly agree too, about the immunity building. I definitely tend to take a few “risks” in India and havent gotten sick yet. I guess when I do get ‘that one’ that knocks me out I may be more scared, lol.

All public bathrooms however, do creep me out a bit.

Hmm I love potatoes but I do not like chickpeas.

Some of my favorite things are fried, spicy, cheesy. Any Indian food like that?

I’m afraid of public bathrooms, I grow more and more phobic to them everyday.

There is plenty of fried and spicy food, WmWb, you dont find cheese in Indian food, you get paneer though, which is called Cottage Cheese, its kinda like Tofu, but with a more creamy, better taste and made out of milk.

Well… to be honest, I saw the new green stuff and thought eww what is THAT?!? hehe Sorry I haven’t been online much, been working extra long hours ..stupid $4 generic rx programs LOL. But anyway, one of my co-workers is in the hospital, so we’ve all been having to pull extra duty, and I’ve been worried about her.

What’s the stuff in the bread-looking stuff? Chick peas? That part looks good. I have just recently discovered that I actually like green pesto..it’s just the color and for food, I have a weird fixation on not being able to get past LOL

The “green stuff” does look a little frightening, lol.
Ara, its not chickpeas in that one, its sprouted lentils.

Its been very quiet in blogworld recently. How’s everyone doing?
