I though this post was funny……

  • 10. They come in a family pack. You get a mother, a father, a few sisters-in-law, half dozen cousins, and countless relatives for free.
  • 9. They would never leave you. They get fat and lazy too fast and no woman will ever be interested in them.
  • 8. You will never get tired of hubby improvement projects. They come with countless imperfections and guaranteed to be really slow learners.
  • 7. Despite their crude exterior and rude attitude, they are docile at heart. They are well trained by their mother to follow orders from woman of the house. You are in control.
  • 6. They would be grateful all their lives; all other 37 girls they interviewed turned them down.
  • 5. They will be available all the time. They do not have any friends or social life or passion to keep them busy.
  • 4. You never have to worry about their past girlfriends: most likely they never had one, or in the rare case they had a girlfriend, she is too busy erasing the memory.
  • 3. You will earn the sympathy of everyone, even your worst enemy.
  • 2. They will stop harassing you once you marry them.

And number one reason for marrying an Indian man

  • 1. For the rest of your life whenever you say “I could have done better,” you will be right.

I found it here…. http://helloji.wordpress.com/2008/03/18/reasons-to-marry-an-indian-man/

Haha that’s so true. Reminds me of all my curry friends.

2. romi41 - September 30, 2008

hahaha…coming from an “Indian Canadian” chick who is continually having these fellas forced on me for immediate marriage, I can definitely see the humour in this (and I REALLY hope I don’t find myself living the “#1″ reason ;-) )

6mile,

That is freaking hilarious LOL.

4. ara0062 - October 1, 2008

I especially liked number 6 LOL. A good friend of mine once said that she only dated a guy if she considered him possible marriage material, otherwise, why would she waste her time on someone she would never consider marrying. She also said life was too short to waste her time on duds hehe

Am I the only one offended? I guess so…. That makes me feel sad. I did laugh at # 1 and 6 though!

6. 6mile - October 1, 2008

haha, I’m sure a lot of men fit the pill perfectly. romi, wont disagree with me a bit ;) . lol, ara, I think most people like no 1.

wmwb, this was just a hilarious take on Indian men. I also think there is a wrong perception that Indian women are treated badly, there are many cases of domestic abuse.

A Russian feminist Maria Arbatova caused a lot of debate ( at least in India ) on this very topic by proclaiming that Indian men make the best husbands in the world. I guess mirchi, cbc and perhaps even NK (if she’s planning to get married soon, hehe) will be able to better answer that Q . Than again its a matter of personal opinion.

Anyways, this was just a joke, I dint mean to offend anyone, sorry WmWb :( .

6mile, I did not mean I was offended for myself I meant I was offened (and sad) for Indian Men…

8. 6mile - October 3, 2008

I too felt that a lot of Indian guys would get offended, but its just a joke and should be taken lightly :) . We all know that girls and guys come in diffrent varieties no mater where they come from :P

9. Mirchi - October 9, 2008

Well, of course I dont find any of these true, except maybe #10, and I think thats a wonderful thing. A lot of them can be said about all men, lol. Im not offended, but didnt really find it funny either.

Whoever is thinking #1, should also ask the other way around( Could your husband have done better as well?) he he :-P

10. 6mile - October 13, 2008

hehe, mirchi. every coin has a flip side
